How many bloggers use AI?
The majority of bloggers and content marketers now use AI in at least part of their workflow. The exact share depends on which survey you read, but every major industry survey from 2024 and 2025 puts adoption above two-thirds, a sharp jump from near-zero in 2022.
A few numbers from primary sources:
- Orbit Media's 2025 Annual Blogger Survey (808 respondents, August 2025): 95% of bloggers use AI tools at least sometimes; only 5% don't. That is up from 65% in their 2023 survey and roughly 80% in 2024.
- HubSpot's AI Trends for Marketers Report (updated June 2025, 1,000+ global marketing professionals): 66% of marketers globally use AI in their roles, and 52% use generative AI for text-based content tasks like blog posts and emails.
- Authority Hacker's AI survey: 75.7% of digital marketers use AI tools for work, and 49.5% use them multiple times per week or more.
The same surveys show that publishing pure AI output without human editing is still rare. Orbit Media's 2025 data found that only about one in ten bloggers use AI to write complete articles, and that this group reports the lowest correlation with success. The pattern across every credible survey is the same: most bloggers use AI as an assistant for ideation, outlining, drafting, and editing, while keeping a human in the loop on the final published piece.
